Hearts That Serve primarily provides services by coordinating and connecting volunteers with individuals in the community that have experienced homelessness and/or are at risk of homelessness, via training and other services for these persons. This organization exists:

To provide instruction on life skills via classes designed to provide educational material to those who have experienced homelessness and/or  are at risk of homelessness;

To provide basic necessities that include  occasional meals, toiletries, and clothing to individuals who may need those particular services;

To provide opportunities for participants to engage in educational, recreational, and religious  activities, that build and strengthen opportunities and community connections;

To sponsor, host and/or participate in events and activities that promote awareness of homelessness.
